Cholesterol Care Australia is a specialist lipid clinic and research facility run by one of Australia’s most experienced lipid specialists. In conjunction with nurses, dietitians and cardiac technicians we work as a group to diagnose and treat cholesterol problems and other cardiovascular risk factors. Transthoracic Echocardiogram (Echo)
An Echo is a specialised ultrasound examination of the heart. It is a very safe non-invasive procedure and does not involve radiation.
Electrocardiogram (ECG)
An ECG is a graphical representation of the electrical activity of the heart. It is the most commonly performed cardiac examination.
Stress Echocardiogram (Exercise)
A Stress Echo, is a specialised ultrasound test to examine the effect of exercise on the function of your your heart, which allows us to determine if blockages of your coronary arteries are present.
Cardiac CT : Coronary Angiography (CTCA) and Calcium Scoring
CT scan uses X-Rays to produce images of the heart and a calcium score which tells us if you have deposits in your coronary arteries.

A blood pressure monitor is a small device which can be fitted to your upper arm to record multiple blood pressure readings over a 24 hour period.
